Korčula

We took a day trip to the island of Korčula. It is pretty close to Dubrovnik, about a two hour drive. It has a lot of influence from the Greek Islands, as well as Italy because it was under multiple different controlling forces at one point or another.

One of the biggest things Korčula is known for is Marco Polo, the famous explorer. He was said to have been born there, but Venice also claims to be his birthplace. Regardless of where he was born, he did live in Korčula during his lifetime.

Kitties everywhere!

This was also when I had Flat Stanley!
